There’s No Place like Drenia Islands in Halkidiki

Have you ever visited paradise? It only takes 15 minutes if you are already in Ouranoupolis, Halkidiki. Think about blue-green waters and a silky-textured sandy beach and you are already picturing the Drenia Islands. If you are wondering what paradise looks like, all you’ve got to do is pay a visit to Ouranoupolis.

Then hop on a boat right in front of the tower. Fifteen minutes later and five-ten euros poorer you’ll be swimming in this earthly paradise. The Greeks consider the Drenia Islands the blue lagoon of Halkidiki. And the locals call the islands Gaidouronisia.

Welcome to Drenia Islands

Also known as Gaidouronisia, the Drenia Islands are a breath away from Ouranoupolis and Ammouliani. This small complex of islands consists of 6 islets and only one of those has a beach organized with sunbeds and umbrellas.

The rest are distinguished for their wild beauty with their rocky beaches, the green waters, and Mount Athos standing at the back to create a scenic atmosphere.

What makes the Drenia Islands special

The beauty of the Drenia Islands is beyond compare. The color of the water changes from one islet to the next, the sandy beach feels like silk onto the skin, and the sea is crystal clear.

Although the islands are tiny, you can discover plenty of bays on foot while you can swim from one islet to the other with no effort. If you love the undersea world, you can go snorkeling and scuba diving.

If paradise has the color of blue and green for you and swimming in clear waters is your way of relaxing, time to pack. The Drenia Islands is your ideal destination in Halkidiki, Greece.
